Why visit Vancouver,  Canada's third largest city?

"A true Vancouverite works hard and plays harder. This motto sets the pulse for the heartbeat of the city. Vancouver's playground is the Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. With such a layout there are no limits to the activities Vancouver offers. For the amphibious, the water is best experienced on SCUBA, boat or windsurfer. The landlubbers say however, that the ocean looks divine from a restaurant window over steaming hot mussels and a smooth wine. Our mountains will call out to you. Don your Gortex and fleece!   Head up for a day of cutting and edging on one of the local slopes and don't miss the apres ski. Peel off your outdoor gear and slip into some hipper threads. Head out for a night of live theatre, music or sports. Dine in one of the many restaurants that will soothe your soul and satiate your palate. Did I say we were modest? Conde Nast Traveler's readers rate Vancouver as the ninth best destination in the world. Why? Read on, or better yet, come discover for yourself..."
